From box to my camera in 5 minutes, built pretty well. Perfect fit for 58mm ring, simple and intuitive operation. If you've used an external flash before, you know what to do with it. Like ALL products these days, it's plastic, but I don't find it fragile at all. Possibly the battery compartment if left open and placed where it could tip over and break off. Otherwise I found it well built, easy to use and everything is as good as the product description says it should be. The cable is heavy duty with a lot of kinks and I don't think there will be problems with the connection breaking or straining the cable. This is a cable in the form of a coil, well made. If a person keeps it in good condition, it will last a long time. The ring screws in like any filter ring, be careful with the fine threads but that's not a bad feature, it's just the usual thin threads on the lens or filter you attach it to. Once the ring is in place, the flash ring assembly has snaps on each side, just like the latch on a lens cap. Press buttons together, place on adapter ring, release. And the same to remove it. Press, remove and release. I think the flash head's ring latches will probably just snap right over the adapter ring to attach it, but why do that when there's a risk of breaking the ring or latches. There are four locks that hold it in place so it's very stable and won't get sloppy and slip. Beautifully made, easy to use, great value for money.
