That is so cool. I didn't know what I was missing, I'm so glad I finally found out about waterproof pants and bought a pair for my daughter! We live in the desert so I didn't think rain pants would be such a good investment but decided to buy a pair when planning a trip to the Oregon coast in October. They showed BEAUTIFUL protection from sand and water. No problem until grandpa took her outside to throw some energy in the sand and pulled his pants around her wellies. Sealing is important and very effective! We've used them for walking on the beach (sand and water), jumping in puddles during a downpour, sloshing mud and snow pants. They do an amazing job of keeping all of nature wet and otherwise well away from wellies and keeping everything underneath completely dry! They have become a staple of her wardrobe for such activities. They dry quickly, water simply rolls off. I haven't washed them in the washer or dryer so I can't comment on that, I was afraid of losing their water resistance so I just rinse them in cold water in the sink when they get dirty. Everything seems to be working fine. Overall I am very happy with these rain pants. For something I didn't expect to have so much utility, this was an excellent buy.
