Review on Motive Gear GM11 5 456 Performance Differential by Derrick Shaw

The first gear I ordered was very noisy. I had the gears installed by a mechanic with over 30 years of differential experience. He tried everything to calm down the first gear, but nothing worked. He said the new gears were just really loud. (And he was absolutely right). I contacted the manufacturer and they absolutely did not send a replacement, they only offered to refund my money. Luckily I bought the gears from Revain Prime, so Revain was quick to send me a new set of gears for a free trade-in. (This is one of the main reasons I remain a Revain customer). With the same setting as first gear, second gear engaged and we were much quieter. However, the second gear has a significant increase in noise compared to the factory gears. The noise isn't as loud as the first set, but I can still hear gear noise even on my oversized mud tires. Otherwise there are no quality defects.
