I ordered this robe for my husband who spends most of his time at home. His old white terrycloth bathrobe needed replacing. I wanted very warm, long, thick white dresses that would last another four years like the ones he was wearing. I think I received it. When the robe arrived he tried it on and was delighted. He usually wears a medium sized shirt. However, in preparation for shrinking, I bought a large one. A good thing. I had his name monogrammed in 2" navy blue. Note: When monogramming a robe, choose larger letters, not smaller ones. The robe is so thick that the monogram will sink into the fabric and smaller letters may get lost. After the first one Line it in the dryer it was surprisingly fluffy with little fiber loss. The arms and overall length have reduced by about an inch in each area. So buy accordingly. The large one was perfect for him. He's 5ft 10in, 165lbs. I think well worth investing the extra $30 for a quality product that if cared for will stand the test of time I am very happy with the purchase.
