UPDATE: The company contacted me after I posted my review and offered to send me an updated version with improved zippers. I was a bit skeptical that I would actually get a better product, but to my eternal surprise, they really listened to their customers and improved the product! Now it has strong metal zippers with large teeth and improved grip. The rest of the item looked like the original, with padding on both sides and non-slip padding on the bottom. I am so positively surprised and satisfied. Thank you Lantoo for supporting your product and listening to customer concerns. I used to order a back seat cover that worked, but then I saw an ad for one with sides and wondered how much better it would hold a pet. travel hair. I needed it urgently so I ordered this particular item because it was available with same day shipping (thanks for coming Amazon Prime!). It seemed expensive but I thought it would certainly be high quality for the price. Emm, no. The zippers are so cheap that all but one went completely off the rails but on the plus side since they are so cheap and plastic I was able to put them back on with needle nose pliers. If I really didn't really need it for the trip the next day, I'd probably send it back for that alone. I paid exactly forty dollars for it. Once I fixed and zipped it up, installation was quick and easy enough. If the zippers were better quality, I would have given them four or five stars. I like that the base is soft and covered in some kind of non-slip material. So far mine hasn't snapped like other reviewers have said and she (the dog) spent quite a bit of time hanging her head or entire front half over the front "wall" while we drove about 5 hours each. Path. This is a JRT that weighs around 17 pounds so durability can be compromised. I'm keeping it for now, but rest assured I'll send it back and update my review if it starts to tear. For what this item is worth, it should last a long time and be durable.
