2001 WJ Grand Cherokee 242 transfer case
Works as it should. After careful research, I found that my 2001 WJ Grand Cherokee 242 Selec Trac transfer case uses ATF +4 fluid. I drained the old oil and put in about 2 liters of Valvoline Synthetic ATF +4. I drove about a mile and turned onto a dirt road. I immediately noticed that the transition from 2Hi to 4 part time, 4 full time and on to 4 Lo is much smoother. I'm glad this seems to have smoothed things out. Two thumbs up.
