Can work well in some situations. We used the dish hopper for 1 TV and 1 AV receiver/projector. When we turned off the TV and/or projector, the settings reset, the picture disappeared and there was no sound. If you unplug it and plug it back in, you can reset the settings. But that's not practical. Would distort image resolution if not reset as well. Went with an externally powered HDDMI splitter and it worked. We liked the fact that it fits right into the funnel with another cord to buy, so it's a good concept, but obviously power is required in some scenarios.
