I had the 54" version (I'm 5ft 6") but some of my blankets are over 8ft so I was on tiptoe instead of adequate reach /bend to clean high on flat surfaces.Plus the hinge broke when attacking a giant moth ;-) 8ft is a lot better to reach but the hinge is even weaker.Not to mention the orange down isn't as dense is like the one I recorded on my 54" original a few years ago. So I'm very glad I bought backups back then, which wash well by the way (I have no experience with: a ceiling fan or other attachments, which are plastic, not fabric) I find it overpriced but hey - I have a lot of refills.
