I was too lazy to change the part and lived with this problem until the car started and I had to tow the car home. Super detailed so far. Installed in 15 minutes. After the retraining procedure, the car started immediately. The cylinder feels tight, the key is stuck and I don't expect any problems. ONLY $22! It is Passlock and there are several ways described on the internet to do the relearn procedure but this worked for me: 1. Turn on the key and try to start the car. (Will not) The security light will flash, then stay on, then turn off. It takes 10 minutes.2. Turn off the key and wait 10 seconds.3. Perform steps 1 and 2 three times. After the key is turned off after the third sequence, it should start. (Mine tat) In some procedures you just turn the key on, wait 10 minutes, then turn it off, wait 10 seconds and repeat. That didn't work for me. I had to turn the key and try to start the engine as part of a relearn process. Hope that helps. It's pretty easy to replace and there's a great video on the internet on how to do it.
