I took it on a month long trip to Europe and it's perfect for carrying everything I need and not too much more - it never got too heavy. - passport and covers in back pocket - it rained a bit in Italy, wallet is still in top condition and contents are dry - put in my Nikon d3500 with carrying case and charger and my spare lens (70-300) - - - a folded scarf or umbrella or a small water bottle in the middle open pocket---a Samsung Note9 phone on the front, charging cables, lip balm, tickets and other miscellaneous items. Article on the front zipper. Endures a lot. I still use it every day. Only downside is the zipper prevents you from further adjusting the straps, not a big deal but I'm small and wish it was different on my back, but the straps only make it so much easier to put on and take off instead of it having trouble getting his arms out. So 50/50 for and against straps.
