These leggings are very warm and have a slight sheen. The reason I give them 3 stars is because the manufacturers sizing charts are illegible and even customer reviews are everywhere. I'm 5ft 11", 170lbs and ordered a large used one so a lot of customer reviews said they run small. That's not the case with me; Even after washing, the ankle straps came loose, as did the hip belt. (currently my waist is 34 inches). Even the butt is a bit loose and my hips are 40 inches long. Still, next time I'll order one size smaller, because these leggings will keep you really warm when you're exercising or cycling, even on the coldest days.
