I have used rocket plates many times. It was the fastest and hottest oven I have ever used. I didn't give much thought to the thermometer on the liner, but after using it in the dark, during thunderstorms and while half asleep, I realized it was more than just a gimmick. It's a nice touch. I no longer have to "test" the water. For those wondering, I bought the Wilderness and yes it has this jet boil wave on the other side that turns yellow when the water boils. I go back to the $10 pocket stove every time. Worth every penny (although it seems like a lot for a stove)
