I was surprised that one end of the speaker cable was not marked as non-breakable. A previous review said this wire was. After re-reading my Bose 901 manual I realized that it is very important that the wires from the speaker to the receiver remain the same…. positive to positive and com to com. I had to take a dry marker and mark one side of this speaker wire to keep it straight. But once I hooked everything up, I could see a huge improvement in the speakers' sound quality. I'm ashamed to admit that I used a wire that was too thin, previously spliced and probably not connected properly. This wire was just what I needed.
