Used to replace the fuel filter. A breeze, took 5 minutes with a smaller diameter fitting. The tool arrived quickly and looks like it will last a lifetime for this truck and the next. The steps I followed were: 1. Open the gas cap (the truck sat overnight) 2. Depressurize the fuel rail valve on the passenger side of the engine's fuel rail with a rag to catch the fuel3. Underneath the truck on the driver's side along the chassis frame, loosen the quick release clamps that secure the fuel lines to the filter4. Use a tool to push the tool into the fuel fitting to loosen the spring and separate the filter5. a rag was at hand to catch the escaping gas6. reinstall by first inserting the filter into the retaining clip and then connecting the fuel lines and retaining clips7. closed gas cap 8. turned the key to the "on" position and let the fuel pump run a little, repeated 3x9. Start the truck and let it stumble a bit until it drives normally. Be careful as there is smoke, have a fire extinguisher handy and of course don't smoke
