I am a teacher and I bought this bag for carrying my laptop, papers, and such. I have a 14 1/2' laptop and it barely fits in the bag length wise. However, I can also fit a large book (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire), pens, papers, an ipad, keys, and it has a pocket on the side for a water bottle. The only thing I don't like about this bag is that the buckles are trash. I ended up removing one of the clip buckles and just attaching the strap directly to the metal loop using pliers. Overall, it is a decent bag but I would suggest removing the clip hooks.
