It wasn't 100% leakproof, but it didn't leak badly even when you tried to get it to leak (shake it upside down to check). It was easy to clean if you have a straw cleaner and easier to hold compared to a milk jug. HOWEVER, if the bottle slips out of your child's hands while it is 1/4 full, from 12 inches off the bottom, the entire bottom of the bottle will crack and become unusable. Not durable at all. Unfortunately, I work in construction, have horses, have two children, am always on the go and can't justify spending money on something that won't last. If you know you're going to be careful with it, then it's probably good for you. If you're a busy mom like me, I recommend the 24-ounce Contigo water bottle, which lasts a lot longer, you just have to refill it more often.
