The drive itself is solid and looks well made. I plugged the USB into my computer and was able to copy the files (music and video) to the drive straight away. The problem lies in the iDiskk app (available for free from the Apple App Store) which is required for the iPhone to recognize the drive. It's clumsy, poorly documented, and sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. In the end, it's Apple's fault. Why does simple storage device detection require a separate and unique application? Also, all applications available for these "lightning flash drives" (Sandisk, iDiskk, etc.) are specific to the drive manufacturer, so they are NOT interchangeable. .OBI Apple and iDiskk need to wake up and move into the 21st century.
