My head circumference is about 21 inches and the band around the cap is snug so it stays on my head. However, the band needs to be tightened. how it goes over the ears and back. I don't like the tight fit around the ears. You have to fiddle with the cap a bit to be comfortable and still stay on your head. The strap fully covers the forehead, which is probably good for keeping on the head, but I would prefer to make it less wide. It is single layer, well stitched and roomy as shown in the picture. Inside there is no label with information about the fabric composition or washing instructions. Washed Put it in a cloth bag with the leftovers and hang to dry I chose purple because it was cheaper than the others, about $6 which is a fair price for this product.
