My boys just love these bikes as much as they love the scooters they have. These are designed for indoors, so please don't consider taking the outside on the street. Backyard may be ok, but I don't have a backyard so can't really comment on that. But they glide over the floors in the house and easy for them to steer. Sure the toddlers will initially fall off them but they are so tiny they just fall on their butts. Great to give toddlers something to spin around the house in.
