As with most other reviews this shoe fits snugly until you drive a few miles to break it in. I also wear medium to thick socks to make them feel tighter. Took me about 5-6 weeks when they were very comfortable. I still need a shoehorn to put them on. They are very easy and easy to walk on. I walk my dog 4-5 miles a day in the desert and they are perfect. The desert makes every shoe difficult and my previous Rockports lasted 2-3 years. In the summer months, when the temperature exceeds 100 degrees, my feet feel quite comfortable. Now and then I get moisture blisters. I usually have two or three pairs just to flip and dry. (only in summer). I would buy them again, I might increase the width to the next size (W). I'll note this after a few more weeks of wearing to see if they stretch. I want to stay with (M).
