My husband and I bought the same alarm a few years ago and loved it so much we bought ourselves and my parents another one for Christmas! I would recommend placing it a little higher off the ground so animals don't trigger it. Our dogs and the occasional deer stumble over it, but we should have put it a little higher. I am impressed with the quality of this alarm clock. We have never changed the batteries in the outdoor unit! It's accurate and reliable. We have 2 off our property and feel very safe with them. I RECOMMEND this alarm clock! We use it partly for security and partly to know when someone is coming to our house since we can't see the driveway. This is unbeatable, especially for the price!
