I use it with a pair of KB EAR KB10 IEM balanced headphones and a 16-wire silver-plated Linsoul Tripowin cable - a miracle in itself. So far I've managed to get through life with JVC's $9.95 sticky headphones, but Trumpistan's stimulus check has kept me very motivated. The device has a dialog screen to complement its [very responsive] graphic equalizer, called "MSEB" in the scroll-down menu; This set of sliders makes it easy to have preternatural control over shaping the nuances of the sound to tailor it to your individual preferences. The sense of detail and - for lack of a better term - "space" is truly exceptional. When delivered, the AP80 PRO sounds flat and tinny. You'll have to roll up your sleeves and fiddle with the EQ and/or settings in MSEB, and . (at least if you're like me) you need to pick your jaw off the ground. I was able to pull out details I'd never heard before: I used "Teiko", the second track on Lyle Mays' self-titled solo album [God Rest his Soul], as a "test track". I could see details in Mark Johnson's bass lines and Alejandro Acuña's drums in a very thin [ie quiet] part of this track that I hardly knew existed. (Let it sink in, he added; this album came out in 1986 and I've had it on vinyl or CD ever since.) Bravo Hidiz! I only recommend the AP80 PRO for its sound quality. However, I ran into a small error: the illustrations here on Revain show a device with a screen that I don't know how to get my hands on. SHOULD show the album art while the track is playing. There might be a way to display the screen like this, but [for two full days]! I haven't figured it out yet. (If anyone knows how to do this, I'm happy to answer in the comments section; thanks in advance)! What I found out is how to get a similar result with an album screen image you can get. where the time is superimposed on the album cover. I found it a bit strange so I measured the 0.1 screen (37mm x 49mm); 2 went into Photoshop and created a dark gray template of the exact size; 3 created guides, if I remember correctly, 0.138 inch [3.5mm] symmetric left, right and bottom; 4 created a .jpg album cover measuring 30mm x 30mm; 5 pasted it into the guides on a 37mm x 49mm template ;6 reduced the image;7 placed it in the splash folder that the AP80 PRO generates along with sound files when you select dynamic cover art in the splash screen dialog ,8 and [drum roll . ] managed to get a fairly clean cover image UNDER the time of day numbers, which contrasts nicely against the dark gray background, if I don't say so. I'll share this in case anyone else is as passionate about browsing their album covers on a digital music player as I am. Well, a CD is ready, from a few hundred to a few thousand. d go. Donald sent me some 512GB cards with my new toy. PS, a few days later, after writing to Revain's Hidizs team, a very nice lady [whose name I won't reveal here for privacy reasons] replied me with the exact method to solve my problem: -- 1 Save sound files and cover files in the same folder; .WAV format doesn't work for some reason; 2 Create .jpg album art and name it with the EXACT title of each of the tracks. Please see the second of the two attachments. So I have to correct my original review immediately and THANK YOU to the Hidizs team - especially to T.! for quick and friendly help. The only reason it has five stars is that I can't give it a ten.
