I received my Bivy Stick a few weeks ago. I haven't had a chance to take it on a hike yet, but I've tested it a couple of times. I love that it connects to my iPhone so I can program my messages through it. The dedicated registration button works great. I can send my wife a programmed message that I'm safe and happy. I can also send longer, more complex messages via satellite by typing into the Bivy app on my phone and then connecting to Bivy via satellite. I tested both functions many times, no problems or crashes. The tracking function works great too I took it with me in the car and tried it out several times. Another thing I really like. This might seem like a small perk, but I like that the meaning of each indicator is printed on the back. how to use it and how to manage the SOS function. highlighted.
