I replaced a Gibson exhaust that lasted about 4 years in northeastern climates. New exhaust - SS version. However, the magnet sticks to all parts, so I don't know if SS is really that different. To the exhaust: screwed very easily. A friend made this for me in his garage. The sound is outstanding. A Gibson rep told me the old caseback I replaced was around 92 decibels and the new one was around 99. Sounds really great! Nice deep sound and yet you can hear the engine and exhaust howling when you climb up. With the exhaust ports right in front of the wheel on the passenger side, the cabin sound is much nicer (louder) than the old cat in the back. I would definitely recommend this system (even with the SS issue) and would happily buy again!
