I chose this to complement a video studio light module I bought my son as a Christmas present. Chosen by description and customer reviews. Haven't tried it, just took it out of the box to inspect before shipping and it certainly looks good. I've been a part-time professional graphic designer and musician for many years and have bought a lot of foldable stands: music stands, microphone stands, camera/camcorder stands, speaker and amplifier stands. I feel well informed in this area and would like to hear my son's opinion on the coaster when he tries it out.
