I did research as most all do and some other products had chipping and other issues. Decided on this verses others and it turns out to be PERFECT in all manner. I originally thought about a typical rectangular one but realized that would not work for my current needs.This tray was the same size as some smaller round ones I already had for the kitchen so I could "test” it for size and thus know roughly what it might be like for my bedside tray. I was actually going to use one of those for the bed tray but this color was so beautiful I decided to use it as my bed tray! I have very little space so everything had to be fairly exact.Orange! Well, it's amazing color-wise - the orange just makes me smile - it's such a lively bright color. I put a paper towel down before my oval under plate and topper plate and all fits. Seems solid as to the manufacturing. No paint flakes or chips. I just wipe it clean.Large enough to hold ample amounts, but small enough to fit in many places (in my teeny space). The circle shape means it fits most places I need it to fit without corners poking out and me bumping into to the tray.I can put it on my lap when "eating in bed" (oops) late at night watching DVD’s, and then lay it on the square side tray near my bed - it fits! While working on my PC I put it on top of a pull out tray-drawer and it fits! I realize now that any rectangular size would have been an inappropriate choice for such a small place!I am so very happy that this ended up being my choice and thank all who did reviews to help me make that decision. (Another oops! I ate the many small TACOs I going to shoot it with! )
