Review on 📈 Enhanced Performance in the Acer C720 Chromebook (11.6-Inch, 4GB RAM) by Mark Green

I think I've had this Chromebook for about a year now. This was my first experience with a Chromebook, but I was very familiar with what they had to offer. I think the Chromebook gets a bad rap from the general public because people don't understand what they're buying. It's not, and never will be, a traditional Windows PC (or MacBook). If you want a PC or Mac, get one (I have one of each in addition to this Chromebook). I think a Chromebook works well as a Windows or MacBook add-on, as there are some things that don't (or don't work well) on a Chromebook. That being said, I've been able to use this particular Chromebook as my primary work device for most of the past year. I can connect remotely to a Windows-based environment when needed, and most of what I do I do in the browser. As long as what you need to do works in Google Chrome, you'd better get a Chromebook. I recommend checking how much you can do with Chrome before you buy. Do everything you can in the Chrome browser. If you find yourself spending most of your time there, you will be fine. If you use something like Word or Excel and can't get by with the Google version, don't buy a Chromebook because you think it will replace your Windows PC. I've been trying to work in Google Chrome for a week and was amazed at how much time I spent in a real browser. So I chose this device. This device has much better specs than a Windows PC for the same price. This is because the manufacturer doesn't pay for Windows, allowing them to invest more dollars into the actual components of the device. I'm mumbling, so let me list the pros and cons that I've noticed. Pros: 1. The battery life is amazing. I can work most of the work day without charging. This is good as I don't want to carry another cable in my pocket.2. Immediate activation. With the way Chromebooks work, the device is ready to use as soon as you lift the lid.3. Snappy – This Chromebook had some of the best specs for under $300 when it came out. It almost never slows down even when multiple tabs are open4. The keyboard has served me well. The keys are well spaced and feel comfortable. Compact design - I can put this item in almost any pocket. It weighs almost nothing.6. The HDMI output is amazing. Disadvantages1. I had some burned pixels on the screen and now they are white. I contacted Acer support but their policy states that you must group multiple in the same quadrant before they are replaced. Mine are scattered so I have to live with that.2. I need Internet Explorer for a job, so I need to work remotely in a Windows environment. It gets a little slow when I have to do it. I just wish more things were Chrome friendly. I expect this will change over time. I can't even express how much I love this device. Receives 4 stars for burned-in pixels alone. Get this device if you use Chrome. You won't look back
