Review on 🌋 Lava the Original 11.5-Inch Silver Base Lamp: Pink Wax in Clear Liquid by Seth Gomez

Bought this as a Christmas present for my 1 year old granddaughter Ishtar. I opened it up to check for damage when it arrived and it looked fine. We plugged it into our living room right after unpacking it for Christmas and after about 3 hours it was running a bit, bubbling but pretty cloudy. Four hours later, even though the liquid (water?) was completely cloudy, I was so cloudy. that the bubbles were very difficult to see. We unplugged it to let it cool overnight to see if the water cleared but it didn't so we plugged it back in to see if the heater would help. Three hours later it became so cloudy that there was no point in leaving it, I couldn't even see the wax anymore, my granddaughter is very disappointed so I will return it for exchange hoping for a replacement that works properly. I had a couple of these lava lamps years ago (and they could run for months, always on, without going cloudy, so the chemistry used now is very different from what was used 40+ years ago, you know. The Lamp wasn't It's not very expensive so I'm not really upset, but still it shouldn't be that hard to use the right ingredients, they got it right forty years ago, a type of silicon liquid used to cool electronic devices became I think
