Throw away the battery when you get it and buy a good Duracel or something. and be careful not to damage the battery latch. This thing is so cheap that looking at it or swallowing water can break the battery lock. My original remote broke but the battery cover was intact so I just replaced the battery cover and threw the new one away. I've been using it for a long time, no complaints. I'm pretty sure the people complaining that it doesn't always work have broken a small clip on the back, other than that it's good. I gave 5 stars because I was lucky enough to find my old cover, otherwise I would have given 0 stars for poor quality. Better to spend money.
