Blue Tape Goes With So Many Things

This is the usual high quality for this excellent 3M tape. Different widths make sense here - for example strips of different widths or narrow or wide strips. or gaps that need to be covered. I mainly use 1" band (which is actually 0.94" wide). Sometimes this narrower band is ideal. I prefer this blue tape over the original brown masking tape because the blue tape bleeds less and is easier to remove long after it has had to be removed. It's cheaper than high quality green masking tape that also works great if the cost is balanced. The blue ribbon has so many uses beyond its obvious original purpose. leftover containers in the refrigerator. They are amazingly durable. Some of them have survived over a dozen cycles in the dishwasher. The blue ribbon is also great for marking ownership of plates, bowls and containers that are going on a field trip and need to return home. **Most of my tools have blue tape on them somewhere. It takes a long time. If I see someone who has an instrument similar to mine AND has a blue ribbon on it, then there is no doubt that they are the owner**. Many measurement tasks require a blue band. Looking for bobby pins so you can hang something? The blue ribbon is your plaque.** I recently installed window wells along the foundation. The concrete was wet, so the markings were uselessly transparent. There was no chalk. The blue tape stuck well enough, even on wet concrete, to level the window alcoves both horizontally and vertically, ready for backfilling to hold them in place.** Sacrificial cord wrap. A few twists will hold most twisted lines together. The sheath tears easily when the cord needs to be stretched. I could tell dozens of stories about the blue ribbon, but I'm sure you have your own. Excellent stuff.
