If the leash was attached to a metal ring so had something to attach my tent to in the event of a cable break, I would be more comfortable with this product. It's not that the cable seems flimsy, it's just that I know from experience that equipment failure is inevitable at some point. If the rope breaks the pegs are useless as there is no other way to attach your tent to them. At the same time, the stakes are very strong. I can tell from a quick test in the backyard they will hold up under fire. Removable lid is great. Although I deducted a star I expect this to be a very welcome and useful addition to my hiking gear. I intend to put them to the test and think they will hold up well. Tent pegs are a very simple item; They have some very smart extra bells and whistles, but I think a D-ring would be a nice addition so the stakes can still be used if the cable breaks.
