The most important feature is that it has an in-built charting interface to calculate routes from one port to another or between two ports via intermediate points such as islands etc., which are not available at any third party website like other similar apps out there. It also offers some useful reports when you import your data into a report/segmentation file format (e.g Excel). The data uploaded needs manual checking using 'Edit Data' tab where all errors must be corrected before importing them into segment files for calculations.The app works fine but sometimes crashes if we download more than 500MB of input shipping documents through WIFI connection.We recommend this application because its seamless integration with Microsoft Office 365 allows us greater convenience while performing our business activities related to seaborne transportation cost analysis & planning. I like that it provides me with all of my information in one place. It's easy to use once you get used to using the program. The only thing about this is that sometimes some of the graphs will not show up until after you have closed everything out completely (like if someone else has opened up another window within seametrx). Other than that it does what we need which are ship speed calculations when coming into port as well as other things such as fuel usage per day etc..
