I have several leggings from this brand so for those who have leggings these shorts are made of a different material (still soft but not as soft). Leggings tend to slip slowly when hit hard, but the material the shorts are made of prevents this from happening. They fit tighter than leggings (I usually wear the large ones with leggings and cycling shorts. The leggings fit perfectly). They dig into my thighs, but the outer seam is gentle enough that it doesn't really hurt. So if you're between sizes you can go up a size, although this probably isn't necessary depending on which size you need. A larger size reduces camel toe (which happens, but I don't care) and probably reduces hip bulging. don't slide down.
