Dries but warms everything around

Like many others, I bought this to dehumidify the air because the summer months are unbearable. Well this unit definitely dehumidifies as I can clearly see that it reduces humidity by about 10%. However, hot air comes out and I can't say my block is broken, but this thing is a heater! I put a thermometer next to it and turned it off, and after it was on for 3 hours the temperature went up about 10 degrees (and I tested it when the inside and outside temps didn't fluctuate). In any case, this product does not solve the main reason I bought it, which is to create a comfortable indoor environment. Yes it dehumidifies but I don't need it to heat the room with it.
