The lamp exceeded my expectations as some reviewers (from other sellers) said their lamps were leaking. There is a wick, so I carefully added oil to the lamp, allowed the wick to absorb the extra virgin olive oil, and lit. Nice! No leakage. I used this to demonstrate the type of lamp that could be used in the parable of the ten virgins. It was a great success. I wish I had a copy of the jar to fill it with. The lamp isn't big, but it shouldn't be either. Normally these lamps burned for about 2 hours, so the lamps of the foolish virgins went out. It would be nice to be able to purchase additional wicks. Very very happy with it.
