I really like that they are thicker than most AND extend an inch past the edge of the base on all four sides for a wet spray. It really helps to get the dirt to the ground surface just above the ground. They do have a bit of friction when wet but I prefer extra clothing and more friction than regular sized low friction clothing. They wash better too. I've tried three reusable brands including this one and they come out of the washing machine the cleanest.
