Very strong. I have a Honda Pioneer 700-4 that says it has 1 3/4 bars but they are actually about 1 5/8 making the brackets 1 3/4 loose. For this reason I sent back another mirror. The design of this mount allows you to change the size of the bar at will. It has a padded yoke mount that can be tightened very securely with a flat head screwdriver. The mirror itself is more like a car mirror in size, with a slight curvature to offer a larger field of view. I have yet to really punish this mirror to see if it moves, but so far I'm very happy with it.
