I can't believe my only cat will sit still for 30 minutes while I comb her hair and he will just purr, purr, squirm, roll over and love me for it that I feel so good about him while he's courting. One down and one go. The other cat isn't quite ready to comb and has a short coat, while the other cat has longer hair and loves to get tangled and tugged. I do not understand. It would take me a full 5 minutes to brush Dale's hair because it's only about half an inch long while Chip's is 3-4 inches long! they don't have fleas or ticks which I don't have to worry about unless someone brings them into the house in which case this comb will surely find them in their hair. Recommend this for both cats and dogs.
