Review on 🔊 Flowmaster 9425452 Super 44 Muffler - 2.50 Center IN / 2.25 Dual OUT - Powerful Roar, Sleek Black Finish by Geoff Cooper

Please bear with me, this is quite a long review but I'll go into some pretty detailed details. I have a lot of experience with emissions, mostly from experimenting with my truck in the past. some years. I learned a lot about back pressure and more, as well as how much more horsepower you can get just by replacing the muffler. Going from my stock muffler to the cherry bomb glass package, I noticed a fuel economy increase of about 1mpg. Then I switched to Cherry Bomb Extreme (which is a silencer with such a chamber, but it is very short and has a much better flow). My full truck sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 12.4 seconds. With an Extreme cherry bomb and a K&N cold air intake, my truck gets 0-60 in about 9.1 seconds, which is a huge improvement. However, when I replaced that Flowmaster Super 44 with my truck, it went back to 12.1 seconds to go from 0 to 60 (remember I still have the K&N pickup). It just sucks. I've found that at higher RPM my truck doesn't run as well as it used to. This is due to the back pressure this muffler creates. It's claimed to cut through a lot better than stock mufflers and even better than some of the other Flowmaster mufflers, but that's not by much. Away from performance and towards sound, this muffler sounds fantastic. I have a very good ear for mufflers and how different types sound and I can tell you this muffler sounds amazing even on v6. It's not very loud unless I want to (a K&N recording would really make this thing roar). Just drive slowly, it's quiet enough not to disturb you when you don't feel like it. However, if you're in the cool mood where you just want to show off, this silencer can do that for you too. The response in the cockpit is good, but not deafening. It's almost perfect. Overall I like the sound of the muffler but not the performance.
