They're easy to swap out - you don't even have to turn off the water to swap them out. Just a quarter turn to remove or replace. Maybe a drop or two of water will come out! This is for my daughter's fridge. The warning appears, I believe, 5 months after the last filter change. There's a trick in the manual to clear the warning, so I hope you still have it! And by buying three filters at once, you really reduce the price of the filter. Swap one out and keep the other two out of sight on the fridge until 5 or 6 months have passed, then no need to search and order again! The price of these filters at Revain is much better than Lowes or Home Depot.
