Clay frame in household goods

The bark of the frame has been filled with clay. Either the lovely folks who made it for export hate us, or they must think we live in caves to buy mud-encrusted frames, or they think we hate them when we ship mud-soaked bark from which we make our frames manufacture. Neither of these scenarios are good. Luckily I have a wood shop and it was easier for me to sand them down and glue them onto the beautiful white birch bark I've had for years. And then I thought it would be easier to buy a ready made frame.
