These frames are just as pretty as the photo and perfect for my space. However, the back support does not fit backwards. I tried to force them and they broke up. I was able to save the photo but the problem is that now they are corrupted. I only keep them because they make a great addition to my shelves. Order at your own risk.

The bark of the frame has been filled with clay. Either the lovely folks who made it for export hate us, or they must think we live in caves to buy mud-encrusted frames, or they think we hate them when we ship mud-soaked bark from which we make our frames manufacture. We bought a house in the mountains and I wanted to choose a modern rustic design. I wanted to find frames that are not identical to those in every store. I stumbled across them and knew right away that they fitted my design plan perfectly. They are just as beautiful in real life. The only thing that disappointed me a little is that the birch is very fragile. When I unpacked one of these upon receipt, it already contained a piece of loose birch wood. You might think that the main function of a photo frame is to place a photo and then fix it. The frame pad is so tight that it takes 200 pounds of torque to snap it back into place. And just in case you don't break this thing in half, there's only a thin latch to hold it in place. It's a shame, because the frame itself is very attractive. I bought this frame for a picture I took thirty years ago on my second and final trip home. It's on a 'farm' in Cuba that 'owns' one of my mother's uncles. In the photo, he's machete in hand, riding his favorite horse, smiling broadly, doing what he enjoys doing most. I am delighted with these shots. I am buying them as a gift for my parents and they will look great in their house in the mountains as they fit the rustic theme perfectly. They are beautifully made and truly one of a kind. Their frames feel solid and the attached hardware looks like they can be easily hung and placed securely on the wall.
