When tone matters most.

.then it probably suits you - depending on whether you got a defective item or not. To be honest, there aren't many Bluetooth cables that support AptX HD (or even better, LDAC) right now. KZ is the brand I know as I have the original ZS10 and have been following that brand for a few years. They are quite competent at making very cheap but reliable in-ear headphones. This is the second cable I've ordered; The first one was damaged in shipping and because I ordered the last one they gave me a refund instead of sending me a replacement. I almost took it as a sign to stay away from this cable along with many comments and reviews on various sites that people feel bad about it. It seems that the original version (which apparently is still on the market) had horrible setup and connection issues, as well as hardware defects like both ends being marked with an "L" and software issues like the "Power off" message when you turn on etc. But supposedly many of these issues have been fixed in the current version. It ended up costing $30, so I decided to take a chance and order a second one. And I'm pretty sure mine is defective. However, none of the previously mentioned problems are here. The cables are correctly labeled and the voice prompts are on and off as expected. Tuning seems normal. To be honest, the sound and relatively low noise level (there is noise, but not enough to bother me with the ZS10 mentioned above) is the reason I'm keeping this cable. As long as it plays sound I'm very happy with it. This sounds good to me and compares very well to my AptX-only true wireless earbuds. But as soon as the sound ends, this cable disconnects itself in less than 5 minutes. This is very annoying. The saving grace, aside from the sound quality, is the fact that this thing turns on quickly and connects almost instantly. That's really the only reason I didn't return or exchange it. After all, there is no guarantee that the next cable will work properly and it may have the problems already mentioned. I can live with that one $30 downside since it turns on so quickly. Other practical tips: 1. I'm not sure about the battery life of 8 hours. So far I get about 5 hours with AptX HD. 8 hours can only be for SBC.2. The cable is not very appealing. Pure black would have looked better. It would be nice if the cords weren't so long and dangling. I learned how to do this using headphone clips and magnets called MBand2 from the Korean company MADD. They're available here at Revain and while they're quite expensive for what they are, they work great. This makes this cable very acceptable to carry in public places. Highly recommended for this cable and other similar cables that do not have their own sliders or chin magnets.3. As far as I can tell, the Qualcomm CSR8675 chip should support multipoint connections to 2 devices at the same time, but in my experience this cable does NOT support multipoint connections. Of course, this could be another defect, but to be honest, none of KZ's documentation mentions multidrop support, so it's possible they just didn't implement that feature of the chip. I find that disappointing but not surprising. It's getting harder and harder to find multipoint devices, even as headphone jacks are disappearing, and people are looking for the feature even more than before. I've ordered another cable from BQEYZ that claims to support Multipoint and AptX HD for the same price, so we'll see if it lives up to the claims. There are many cheap Bluetooth cables available on Revain or sites like AliExpress. and most of them are very cheap. In the end I decided to go with a brand I knew and thought ordering from Revain was a little safer than buying an unfamiliar brand from AliExpress, but since most of them are so cheap it might be worth it worth looking around and experimenting with. But if you buy it from Revain, at least you know you can return it with a minimum of hassle and fuss. As for me, I'm keeping this half-ugly, half-defective cable.
