That fits well. He's a slim two-year-old but tall for his age, around 128 pounds. I bought a size 3-4 and it fits him perfectly with room to grow. It fits a 3 year old or a small 4 year old child. I also bought one for my 6 year old girl size 7-8, she is medium sized maybe a little over 6. They both loved wearing them to swimming lessons in the pool. She stayed warmer than him, his lips turning blue, but not until the end of the lesson. If he didn't have it, it would be instantly. The pool is warmer than others in our area but still cool. He felt absolutely comfortable in it, playing, kicking and being very active with no problems. The 6 year old liked it too and felt comfortable the whole time in the swimming lesson. They wore bathing suits underneath. undressing wasn't so bad. We gave it a good rinse in the shower and I immediately washed it on the gentle cycle with minimal gentle laundry soap and hung it to dry. It says to hand wash, which we did initially, but as we were in a chlorine pool I figured it should be washed more often.
