I use this to connect my TV and projector to my Directv box. Using the Directv Display menu to set the output resolution to 1080p avoids unintentional resolution changes. Due to the way HDMI works, the connection is re-evaluated every time the display is turned on or off. Turn on a display and after a few seconds it syncs to 1080p. Turn on the other display and the first goes blank for a few seconds and then they both connect properly at 1080p. Turn off one of them and the other will be blank and syncing again. Unlike other splitters I've used, this one always syncs correctly without having to unplug and unplug the original HDMI connection. Update 10/13/2019: Still works great. Displays are always re-synced when one is added or removed.
