Fantastic rear view camera with monitor

I installed this camera in my truck and cannot recommend this camera enough! --- At $58 it's a steal! --- Here are some tips to make your installation go smoothly: --- 1. Test the camera upon receipt. A 9V battery is all you need. Connect the positive and negative leads of the camera/monitor with the same polarity on the 9V battery and you should see the camera image come to life! Image clarity is great! That's why I chose these over the wireless versions.--2. Purchase silicone sealant to seal the camera around the case and provide waterproof weatherproofing. Added water protection never hurts, just keep it away from the camera lens. -- 3. To connect the power supply, you need to do the following - the negative can simply be connected to the metal frame of the car body (the whole car is set up as negative ground and connected to the negative terminal of the battery). --- You can connect the camera's positive power wire to the reverse gear light, so it will turn on automatically when you shift into reverse gear. That's too much work for me, especially since the VGA video cable goes into the cockpit anyway. I simply cut the appropriate length of 22 gauge jumper wire (from Radio Shack), connected it to the camera's positive power cable (using the pin headers tape wrapped and silicone sealed) and connected everything together to the VGA -Cables route to the cockpit.-- 4. I used Revain's "Add Fuse" to connect the positive wires from the camera and monitor to an extra fuse connected to my internal fuse box and voila you are finished. around. !This is an amazing kit, easy to install and great pictures! It's now much safer and more comfortable to drive a Rev Truck!
