Review on Secure Data Storage Solution: Apricorn 1TB Aegis Padlock USB 3.0 256-bit AES XTS Hardware Encrypted Portable External Hard Drive by Drew Panah

I'm a lawyer and responsible for keeping confidential files. Sometimes I need to take those files with me and this device is great for that. I'm always concerned for the customer and the other party if my briefcase is lost or stolen and this device gives me peace of mind when it works. I've bought several of these so far because they keep breaking. For some reason these guys just stop understanding my password from time to time. I use a fairly easy-to-remember 6-digit password, so it's not me who forgot the password. I even tried keeping the preconfigured password (123456) to see if it worked, but even that stopped working. For some reason some of them just stopped working. However, I love them so much that I just keep a backup and when one stops working I buy another. If only they were more reliable I would give the product five stars. It's relatively easy to use and I feel like the data is really secure. The drive doesn't even show up until I enter my password. So overall I like the product when it works.
