I hate chopping herbs. They go everywhere, stick to the knife, stick to the cutting board, and are never the same size. My knife skills aren't very good, but fresh herbs are always difficult to handle. Enter this grass shears. They're great for scallions and scallions that are firmer. With more delicate herbs like Italian parsley and coriander, the pieces will stick to the blades like a knife. However, you can literally just hold the herbs over a pot or bowl and grind them up. A small cleaning element helps scrape residue from the blades and keep them clean. I don't like that you can't put a sponge between the blades, but they survived being washed in the dishwasher.
