Review on Gamepad Microsoft Xbox One Controller, white by Lin Wei-Yin ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied, the purchase is quite successful.

A computer and a gamepad are both used by me. I'm going to compare it to its predecessor, the DualShock 4 v2, because that model could also be used on a personal computer. Although I've only been used it for a few weeks at this point, my first impressions have been really favorable. The controller made by Microsoft appears to be more professionally manufactured. Although it may have seemed like the DS creaked and rattled whenever it was subjected to vibration in the beginning, this was not the case. You will also rapidly become accustomed to sticks that are not symmetrical. This setup feels considerably more natural and comfortable as a result of the fact that the thumbs are placed on the left side of the stick and on the right side of the buttons 99 percent of the time. Although the triggers on the DS might be in a more convenient location, this aspect is not crucial. When compared to the DS, one of the advantages of using a computer is that the button layout of the gamepad is modeled after that of the XBox controller. This is one of the benefits of using a computer. That is, you don’t need to constantly convert A to X, Y to a triangle, etc. in your head. The only significant drawback is that the power button ("X") contains a very bright white LED that cannot be configured in any way through the computer. In general, this is not a deal breaker. It is possible for it to hit in the eyes visibly in a room that is dark. In this regard, the DS was much better, since both the color of the backlight and the brightness were adjusted there, up to a complete shutdown.

Pros
  • It fits comfortably in the hand, does not squeak or rattle, and is made of high-quality materials. After playing with DualShock, I have the impression that non-symmetrical sticks are a lot more comfortable. - You are able to make use of either standard or rechargeable batteries in addition to the branded battery, which is supplied separately!
Cons
  • - A branded battery along with a wire for charging is available for purchase separately (regular batteries are included). It is possible that this brings down the price of the gamepad itself; however, in order to use it normally, you will either need to pay more money for a branded battery, or you will need to purchase a large quantity of batteries, or you will need to purchase multiple sets of batteries and a charger so that you can use them in rotation. - The charging indication is only available on the specialized cable. - A power button that emits a bright white light, which, when playing in the dark, can be very disturbing.
