I have had many different radar detectors (Valentine, Escort, Cobra) over the years and have found the K40 to work the best. I used their ticket guarantee and I can confirm that they do in fact pay for your ticket. My only two criticisms of the Platnium100 are the cable and the included mount. I wish there was a mute button on the cable. This is useful when the windshield is far from the steering wheel. Also, the mount that comes with the radar is very bulky and if you have an acute angle to your windshield it may not fit. If you call K40 they will send you another mount that works much better.
